How to Style Tall Dresses for Every Occasion

Height gives you access to silhouettes that are harder to carry on a shorter frame - use it. Floor-length dresses, dramatic wide-leg cuts, and oversized statement sleeves all work on a taller frame in a way that requires more careful styling elsewhere. For occasion dressing specifically, a column midi or a bias-cut maxi in a fluid fabric - silk, satin, or crepe - will move with a taller frame rather than against it. 

In terms of footwear, height is not a reason to avoid heels: a pointed kitten heel or a strappy mid-heel reads as more polished than a flat at a formal event, regardless of how tall you already are.
